I started this blog to record my obsessions with so-called "trivial" matter. And to practice my writing skills, find my "voice", etc. Furthermore, I'm an on and off narcissist. The title is Useful Minutiae because I believe minutiae to be valuable - it enriches the brain, makes you a well-rounded person, and gives you conversation starters in awkward social situations.

Happy Halloween, by the way. I'm dressed as Morticia Addams and am going to a Halloween party tonight.
